Siege Towny Rules

Note: Please claim any and all items. SMPEarth staff are not responsible for lost items due to stealing. If you have accidentally left on permissions we are not responsible for returning the lost items.

X1: Major wilderness griefing/griefing in claims/travel griefing
Griefing of any type in a claim is prohibited and we will revert/punish depending on the permissions set by the mayor. However, if your build is in an unclaimed area we are not responsible for any damage done to your property, including loss of mobs and items. Major griefing in the wilderness (lavacasts, large craters, removing significant elements to the map, etc.) is also not allowed. Prohibiting travel, namely boats and icerails, is not allowed. 1 Additionally, the usage of tnt in ruins is not permitted but griefing is allowed within reason.

X2: Insiding
Insiding is not allowed. Insiding is defined as stealing items maliciously and/or betraying your town during times of wars. Insiding is also defined as taking over a town/nation with malicious intent to deprive the previous mayor/leader of ownership.

X3: Bypassing Siege Immunity With Claims
Town/Outpost claims must not completely encircle another town unless the town in the inner circle is peaceful and within the same nation. This rule applies to towns in the same nation to prevent permanent siege immunity on the server.

X4: Scamming
Scamming other players is a serious offence. As a precaution, we advise you to keep track or collect a record (this can be in the form of a written agreement, screenshots, or video recording) for any trade or transactions you are doing. Please note, however, that you trade with players at your own risk – Moderators do not take liability for it and are not responsible for returning anything lost. In addition, any agreement that has been made with a permanently banned player is null and void.

X5: TP Trapping
Trapping and spawn killing someone through the use of the teleportation system is prohibited. This includes having someone teleport to you. However, foot grinders, ganks, etc are permitted.

X6: Point Feeding
Any form of point feeding (purposely dying to the attacker/defender) is prohibited.

X7: Inaccessible Siege Banner
Placing of a banner to initiate a siege in an area that has been intentionally made inaccessible is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, placing a banner inside an enclosed area, underground, air or fully surrounded in traps. Surrounding a banner with outposts/claims is also not allowed.

X8: Alt Capping
Gaining banner control during a siege with an alternate account is not allowed and will result in a punishment.

X9: Claimblocking
Claimblocking is not allowed and will be reverted without you getting your money back. SMPEarth defines claim-blocking as maliciously restricting players' ability to expand their area of claims and is determined by the date of claimed chunk. Hollow claiming is handled separately and is as follows: We will not remove any claims that appear within your hollow claims. They must be stopping your expansion outwards. You must have prior approval by a town's mayor to claim next to another town.

X10: Killing New Players
Killing a new player within 48 hours of them joining the server is not allowed, unless they agree to combat beforehand or they instigate the combat.

1 Any bridge over any body of water must have at least 2 blocks of air between the water and the bottom of the bridge.
